Kevin Bailey

Owner & Systems Designer

Kevin Bailey serves as the Lead System Designer at High Peaks Solar LLC.  As a NABCEP and NYSERDA certified installer, Kevin has the qualifications and experience to install complex photovoltaic systems. He holds a BS in Political Science from the University of Albany, and also earned an AS in Electrical Construction and Maintenance from Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC). Kevin is an adjunct professor at HVCC, where he is training the next generation of certified solar installers.

Kevin’s career in renewable energy began in 2005 with a three-year apprenticeship at Central Vermont Solar and Wind.  During that time he completed a wind turbine training program in the Grand Cayman Islands.  Prior to forming High Peaks Solar LLC, he was the sole proprietor of Sycaway Solar and Wind.  


Kevin is also the founder of The Sky Is Not Limited, a non-profit organization which provides drinking water infrastructure to impoverished nations.  In 2010, Kevin traveled to a remote village in Tanzania, Africa to install a solar powered water well pump.  Today, the “well project” provides fresh, bacteria-free drinking water for an entire village.

Ken OldridKen Oldrid Jr.

Chief Installer and Mechanic

Ken has been working with High Peaks Solar, LLC even before the company was called High Peaks Solar. He is also the owner and operator of Green Diesels, which is a company that converts diesel vehicles to run from straight vegetable oil. He brings old cars back to life and get them running green! Ken has installed solar and wind projects throughout Vermont, New York, and New Hampshire. He carries a strong background in electrical and is an expert in residential solar installations.


In 2012, Ken traveled to Haiti to assist on an off-grid solar installation for an orphanage located three hours North of Port Au Prince in the town called Petite Rivière de l'Artibonite. Soon, Ken will volunteer with The Sky is Not Limited to assist with solar powered wells in Tanzania, Africa.

Joe KowalikJoe Kowalik

Lead Installer


Joe is a talented solar installer who completed a two year occupational degree in Electrical Construction at Hudson Valley Community College, including a term studying photovoltaics. Joe joined the company in late 2011 and is currently converting his jeep to have a VW diesel engine be its main driver. Joe's background includes work in the solar industry, general construction, and automotive repair.
